Business Information Systems OÜ, the developer of Vesta, was founded as a spin-off of Estonian insurance company Salva Insurance Ltd. business and IT development department in early 2009. There are currently 11 employess with insurance and IT background. BIS key staff has more than 15 years of experience in developing non-life insurance business systems.

Vesta, developed in cooperation with software developer company Nortal, started its life as Salva's internal system for managing whole insurance process. First parts of Vesta were put in full use in 2010 and by 2012 the whole system was completed. Vesta has been developed from the start in co-operation between the best insurance and software industry professionals.
